Forms and Permit Applications

Permits and other approvals are needed for certain activities within the town to ensure compliance with established town ordinances. The Building Permit Ordinance and Zoning Ordinance provide information about zoning regulations within the Town. 

Completed forms and any additional documentation can be submitted electronically to clerk@comcast.net, mailed to Town Hall, dropped off in the mailbox by the back door of Town Hall, or handed to the Town Clerk during business hours. Filing fees can be paid by check made out to the Town of Laytonsville. Properties in a subdivision with a Homeowners Association (HOA) must have HOA approval prior to submitting an application to the Town. Applications are not considered complete until all required components, including the filing fee, have been received by the Town Clerk. If a hearing is required, the Town Clerk will notify the applicant(s) and schedule the hearing. Work cannot begin until the application is approved and the Town Clerk issues the permit. Please note that, if county approval is required, a town permit will be required for the county application.
